The IT Concours®
The IT Concours® is an ongoing professional development program for CIOs at major corporations. It is focused on helping each member become a superb business executive - not a technology whiz! As a byproduct, it enables extraordinary peer networking among its members.
- The members-only conferences provide - in highly-interactive settings - ongoing access to the premier business thinkers and continuing insights into best future practices in business and technology management.
- Six teleconferences provide a multimedia vehicle for CIOs to develop management understanding and expertise among their staff.
- Other business executives within the member organizations develop new viewpoints on the business role of technology through the Executive Perspective conference series.
- Members benefit from participation in and access to nGenera groundbreaking research on future best management practices.
A membership provides access for one appropriate-level executive attendee (CIO or equivalent title) per Summit and two per Executive Perspective:
- 3 Executive Summits
- 4 Executive Perspectives
- 4 IT-related Re.sults Projects
- 6 CIO Staff Meetings
- Library of completed IT Re.sults projects
CIO Summits
CIO Summits are the major sessions for IT Concours members. Held twice annually, these two-and-a-half-day meetings are limited to the sponsoring senior information executive. They feature world-class thought leaders on business and technology management issues in half-day segments. Wednesday mornings will be devoted to discussion of an emerging issue determined by attendees before the summit. These sessions will feature a comprehensive nGenera perspective on the issue, mini case studies, and a highly-interactive roundtable discussion among attendees. Members often bring guests and arrive early for weekend activities as a means of enhancing relationships with peers.

CIO Staff Meetings
Six times per year, members join prominent management thinkers and nGenera thought leaders for a 90-minute discussion of a critical IT management issue (Management Perspective) or technology trend (Technology Perspective).
These multimedia sessions, transmitted via teleconference and the Internet, include ample opportunity for participants to pose questions and interact with the discussion leaders. These sessions are ideally suited to form the basis for CIO staff meetings or key issue workshops. They are archived on the nGenera Web site so that members can access and review the sessions at their convenience. Agendas will be published approximately a month in advance of each session so that subject matter can be responsive to emerging issues and member requests.
