HR Concours

The HR Concours®

The HR Concours® is an ongoing professional development program for the chief human resource officers (CHRO) at major corporations. It is focused on helping each member effectively serve as a proficient business executive - not a better personnel manager. And the program facilitates extraordinary peer networking among its members.

The members-only conferences provide - in highly interactive settings - ongoing access to the premier business thinkers and continuing insights into best future practices in business and human resource management. Quarterly teleconferences provide a multimedia vehicle for members to develop management understanding and expertise among their staff.

Other business executives within the member organizations develop new insights on key people and business management issues through the Executive Perspective conference series.

Members benefit from participation in and access to the nGenera groundbreaking research on future best management practices.

HR Re.sults Projects

Each year, members of the HR Concours participate in two Re.sults research projects in the domain of human asset management and corporate learning. They also have access to the complete online library of recent reports on a wide range of HR management issues.

A Re.sults project is a unique form of consulting cooperative that delivers - in 90 days - answers to critical questions at the intersection of business, technology, and human asset management. Re.sults projects create fresh and pragmatic approaches to critical issues long before they are generally understood, let alone mastered.

Each project is a cooperative formed by member corporations with common interests that help shape the project, share their experience, and reap the benefits. The project brings together senior consultants, leading experts, member companies, and the proven research process that led to business reengineering, the value disciplines, and other breakthrough management practices.

Each project concludes with a management report containing a combination of emerging best practices, pragmatic action plans, and innovative management techniques. To make participation as efficient as possible, all major project events are held by teleconference.

Recent projects on HR management include:

  • Employee Experience and Business Results
  • Engaging Today's Young Employees
  • Talent Readiness Strategies
  • Customization versus Standardization
  • Accelerating Executive Development
  • The Hidden Logic of Business Performance

Members may also participate in research projects in other domains at a reduced fee.

HR Staff Meetings

Four times a year, members join prominent management thinkers and nGenera thought leaders for a 90-minute discussion of a critical HR management issue. These multimedia sessions, transmitted via teleconference and the Internet, include ample opportunity for participants to pose questions and interact with the discussion leaders. These sessions are ideally suited to form the basis for HR staff meetings or key issue workshops. They are archived on the nGenera Web site so that members can access and review the sessions at their convenience. Agendas will be published approximately a month in advance of each session so that subject matter can be responsive to emerging issues and member requests.
