by Brittain on Oct 22, 2007 - 11:59 AM read 31 times- Bringing together lead generation and social networking has always been a killer-app goal of the social networks so this isn't surprising. That being said, what I see is nothing more than a first step towards that goal. In other words, haven't salespeople been sending gifts and birthday notes for decades?
- I'd guess that Facebook did most of the work on this integration. From the short demo this looks typically AppExchange.

This is interesting, but right

While this integration may have more future potential, I don't necessarily see the huge incremental advantage in generating business from this add-on. So for me this falls into the "neat technology, but how can it add value to my business" category.
However I will say this is a very good example of the power of the AppExchange as a "storefront" and Salesforce.com as a platform. I'm curious if they are charging for this add-on (some apps on the AppExchange are free). I think it would be harder to justify using this integration if it had a cost since I'm not sure there's much ROI.

If they didn't do the work ...
