This is the weekly profile of coverage that Wikinomics — both the book and the principle — is getting across the Internet.
- Jason Welker, professor at the Zurich International School in Switzerland, writes the blog Welker’s Wikinomics. Welker’s Wikinomics is a blog for economics students and educators alike, and profiles how economics is changed by new technology.
- Karen Hellekson, author of the blog Res gestae (”things done”), writes about how wikis are used by fans to create their own stories for the characters and worlds that they love.
- At BackRe(Action), Sabine Hossenfelder debates whether the principles of Wikinomics can be applied in academic settings as a possible remedy to the “lonley genius” problem found in academia.
- On his blog Architeching the Future, Darren Hallett gives an overview of a conference on digital natives in the workplace, and recommends that his readers check out Wikinomics.
- Finally, a topic near to my heart: Michael Netzley suggests that people check out the first chapter of Wikinomics as a precursor to reading up on Prediction Markets and the Wisdom of Crowds.
