Amazon S3 went down over the weekend with a thunderous roar (appropriate for a cloud, eh?). Interestingly, not a lot coming from Amazon as to who, what, where, when and why. Well, actually the who was all of us, the what was no service, then when was 6 hours (9am-3pm PDT) and the where was everywhere. So let's hear the why, Amazon. There are business models that depend on it.
