Houston Business Journal: Industrial Science Merges with BSG Alliance by Steve G on Oct 10, 2007 - 08:23 AM read 1219 times |
Houston business simulation firm Industrial Science LLC is being purchased by Austin firm BSG Alliance Corp.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
BSG Alliance said George Danner, the founder of Industrial Science, and Howard Park, the company's chief technology associate, will continue with BSG Alliance as heads of the on-demand applications division.
Industrial Science employs analytic, scientific and three-dimensional visualization tools to address complex business and management problems.
This is the second Houston acquisition for BSG Alliance, which acquired Kingwood consulting firm The Concours Group, in May.
BSG Alliance, founded in April by serial entrepreneur Steve Papermaster with start-up funding from Powershift Ventures LP, focuses on consulting, software development and Web applications.

In reference to your acquisition of Inductrial Science, LLC, I have a question: Industrial Science, LLC, is (or was?) a member of VGO Oil & Gas, LLC, (http://www.houstontech.org/en/dir/?708) what happens to that membership from your perspective? Does Industrial Science still exist as an entity of some sort that can still be a member of an LLC? Will VGO dissolve that membership and transfer its equity to the remaining members?
