I could not agree more. Even in the small / medium enterprise space - having the business measures and metrics visible enables better communication, management and use of IT assets. Along with less cost through a business approach to IT investment.
In the SME space - to often the “techies” implement various platforms, tools, etc in an ad-hoc way. Over time this leads to fragile and complex IT infrastructure.
