nGen Collaboration

Our primary communication hub is known as nGen Collaboration. The nGenera Community - indeed, the entire nGenera website - is built on a powerful software tool that we refer to as the nGenera Customer Collaboration platform. The goal of the platform is to enable interaction among people in many different ways. Anyone can interact with nGenera employees or other visitors to the nGenera website by simply registering and signing in.

Once signed in, there are a number of choices for your type of interaction.

You may post or respond to a conversation

You may post or participate in a more focused interest group

Or, you may initiate a poll, event, or a job listing for others to view

A couple of things to note, that may be a little confusing until you start to get the hang of it. First, most every item of content on the nGenera website is styled as a conversation, meaning you are invited to provide feedback or comment on everything you read. Additionally, there are both public and private areas for posting and replying to conversations. The public area is accessible by employees, customers, and anyone else registered for the nGenera website and is found under the "community" link. The private conversations are available only to nGenera employees and are found under the "nGenera Portal" link. Make sure that you are posting to the area that is appropriate for the audience you are intending to reach.

Finally, if you can't find what you are seeking or need additional help, you can always reach out to us through e-mail, phone, or snail-mail addresses on Contact Us.

The Buzz

The Buzz is our internal communications vehicle, and it's the first thing you'll see when you access the nGenera Portal section of e.laborate! Content is updated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and includes important company information, sales wins, new customers, new team members, birthdays, and so much more. If you have an item you'd like featured in The Buzz, just send an email to thebuzz@ngenera.com, and The Buzz team will respond.  An email announcing new Buzz content is distributed each Monday, Wednesday and Friday; a PDA-friendly version of The Buzz is also available, called The Buzz - Mobile.  Send an email to thebuzz@ngenera.com to be added to The Buzz - Mobile distribution list.

Remember that all of our communication is collaborative, so feel free to comment on any item in The Buzz by replying to the conversation.

Other Collaborative Resources available through the menu on nGen Collaboration:

Facebook

At nGenera, we embrace the collaboration and connectivity the Internet allows us. One of the ways we demonstrate this is through our use of Social Networking. We encourage all employees to join Facebook.

To join, simply point your browser to www.facebook.com and click "sign up". Once you've joined, please take some time to browse the members and join the nGenera Group. This is a terrific way to get to know the people with whom you now work, and to really feel "connected" to our organization.

Jobvite

Jobvite is an on-demand application we use for all our recruiting activities at nGenera. Everyone involved in hiring (all executives, hiring managers, recruiters, interviewers, and approvers) uses Jobvite as a self-service workspace for hiring. As a member of nGenera, you can also use Jobvite to help us build a world-class team.

You will receive an email from the Jobvite administrator inviting you to join Jobvite. Once you accept the invitation, you'll be able to send Jobvites (invitations to apply for jobs at nGenera), refer your friends, and help build nGenera.

The nGenera Internal Directory

Internal communication is simplified through the use of our central directory, which can be found at http://directory.ngenera.com/. This is our own "phone book" where you find personal contact information for other nGenera associates. It is helpful to enter your contact information as soon as possible so that your fellow nGenera employees can contact you. To complete this step:

  • Log in using the email credentials provided to you by our IT department.
  • Navigate to your name, and when selected, you will be provided with a new window that shows the fields available for editing.

This directory is used only by internal nGenera staff. As such, you may choose to voluntarily disclose your home address to make it easier for co-workers to send you personal greetings.  To complete this step, after entering your business contact information:

  • At the bottom of the page, click "new address".
  • Select "home" for address type.
  • Type in your address.
  • Choose "Yes" for publish.
  • Click "Save".
