The nGenera Applications Team proudly announces the availability of v6.7 of nGen Collaboration. This release offers several long awaited features plus a slew of internal enhancements that streamline the product offering.
Here's the details:
Wiki Content
The center piece of this release is the introduction of wiki pages. Wiki pages are a new communication style addressing simultaneous or shared content creation (aka "co-editing"). We've followed the examples of wiki vendors before us (versioning, wysiwig editing, tagging, page-to-page linking, etc) so you should find wikis a familiar experience.
On the other hand, we've also integrated wiki pages with our other content. This enables universal search and consistent use of features like tagging and notifications.
Check out the online video tutorials from Product Management for details on all things wiki.
Simplifications
Several screens and numerous individual features and widgets were simplified by either removing or relocating options. For example, the editing page moved the Display Name and Set as Author elements from the page top into the Advanced Options tab.
Interest Group Improvements
Interest groups continue as one of our busiest and most used product areas. In v6.7 we made a number of requested additions:
- Organize Group Content by Tag. Each group may now have a customized set of tags with which to organize the group's content. Each tag gets it's own tab in the Discussion section (e.g. "AttackPlan", "Roadmap", etc. as seen below). Setup is easy too, just include the tag names in the Tag Subsections field when forming or editing your interest group.
- Private Description lets private interest groups include additional, confidential information in their welcome sections. Only current members may view this information.
- Non-member Contributions to public interest groups supports those scenarios (e.g. Product Management) when you want a controlled, closed membership, but still welcome the input of non-members. Enable by checking the box:

Formerly known as "Project Butterfly", this new hub theme pushed the envelope on graphical layout and styling we support. Future themes will benefit from the new optional sidebar and navigation functionality.

Is there an intent and target date for porting content from the New Paradigm Wiki over here? We've got some pretty useful stuff we'd like to migrate at some point.
Thanks!
