Hey, Scott… Thanks for the thoughts.
1. I’m not saying Google didn’t have people trespassing. They probably did. But that’s a criminal matter, not a civil one, and certainly not one worth in excess of $25K. And we don’t know that they didn’t have the permission of another homeowner to be on the road, either.
2. What types of things could we do to reverse the trend on privacy? Could we work together to encourage local governments to take down red-light cameras, security cameras, etc.? Could we work with Google to implement a policy where no personal information is posted without the explicit permission of the person named? I don’t see any viable solutions, so I am interested in what other people see.
