re: Customer interaction...or not?

The last time I received excellent customer service was at Barney's New York at the Shu uemura cosmetic counter. I must say that when I did receive my receipt the cost was not "hidden" on my receipt. I was pleased at the service that I had received from the salesperson as well as the other staff members that were at the counter I thanked the salesperson as well as the other staff members for their excellent service.
In the past when I have received poor customer service I have complained and often decided not to use that company and or their services after the poor customer service experience.
Also, I agree with Steve about the excellent customer service that Amazon offers. I have received repeat great customer service from Amazon. So much so that Amazon is my vendor of choice to order books and DVD's.
