When you look at the industry with the NGE prism you see a group of organizations that have steadfastly resisted change, innovation, and profitable new niche markets while clinging to the idea that their remarkably same-minded reporters were simply smarter and better than their customers.
One lesson: Ground-up innovation from diverse sources wins out in the long run.
