Thanks, your comment is spot on and Whole Foods does a lot well. In general, if you can afford the space, a single line feeding multiple servers preserves first in first out… social justice.

The one piece of this that I don’t has been studied is… the effect of people who make it to the front of the line and then just stand there… staring into space… rather than paying any attention to the server that’s trying to call them over.
