Conv Education Marketing -- Everyone's a "marketeer"

Generally marketing ideas are never in shortage -- now having the people to implement, in a traditional corporate environment, is another issue. What I love about E2.0 is that everyone really is a marketeer -- from idea conception to implementation.

So I'm putting it out to the masses -- what's your marketing idea and how can you help implement it or others? Because it's hard for me to throw structure completely out the window -- I've organized my list according to some traditional buckets. But don't feel compeled to adhere to this structure.

The subject line reads "Education" marketing -- which,by the way, is completely self-serving since it is my focus within Agile Talent. That being said -- it would be pretty cool if ideas and actions generated here help promote all of BSG Alliance offerings globally. Just a thought.

Let the collaboration begin!

Lead Generation
1. BSG Public blogs per program. Example: HRLDP blog could discuss challenges HR execs are facing -- how the program has/will address, interesting ideas/thoughts from previous meeting, etc.
2. Optimized website: In process
3. Education newsletter/eAlert: Steve G. and I tried one interation to his TX list -- maybe we should expand the distribution? I've attached drafts of both -- the copy was revised prior to distribution but the format remained.
4. Masie Center's Learning Consortium
5. Tammy's public speaking engagements: Create leave behind, update PPT template, add specific slide in deck

Customer Retention
1. Program HUBs: In process

A couple of months ago, Junko and I had brainstormed about ways to promote the RM PDP program. So here is a list of ideas.

Marketing the RM PDP—an Experiment in Innovation

Take the RM PDP and develop and execute a full marketing program including metrics.  Each line item will need dollar cost and metrics for success measurement.

    1. Get articles published (magazines & online)
    2. Ads associated with published articles
    3. Get quoted in articles
    4. Snapshot management minute type videos on our website
    5. Downloadable audio MP3 on RM
    6. Blog about the topic (using established Concours bloggers)
    7. Identify external bloggers to get track back
    8. Email campaign to existing database
    9. Create a landing page for this program on our website
      1. Speakers in HTML for search purposes
      2. Validation-- page show history, quotes, previous companies that participated
      3. Program details
      4. Video
      5. MP3
      6. Article quotes and links
    10. Get it on home page
    11. Keyword buys
    12. Search engine optimization
    13. Get on BSG Alliance website
    14. Get Tammy to do HBSP blog
    15. Web events live or on demand (pre-recorded)
      1. SAS on Customer Innovation with Tom Davenport
      2. BetterManagement.com—Junko knows them; Blythe did last week
    16. Get permission to use testimonials
    17. Create a quarterly newsletter to RM PDP alumni with links to articles and blogs of interest to them (articles to be on our website)
    18. Press releases
    19. Beginning of year—Tips for success in 2008 (landing page, email, quarterly newsletter)
