Here is a list of some of the tools that George and I have utilized over the years.  This conversation will serve two purposes.

1.  General info for anyone who is interested in some of the tools we have used.

2.  As George and I integrate ourseves (and our past work) into BSG Alliance, we have to figure out what licenses we have, and what the future of these tools will be.

We've deployed many simulations over the web and many of the other apps listed here can be deployed over the web. WebMathematica allows us to deploy Mathematica apps over the web.

Web ServicesWe've done some investigative work with various Web Services but have not settled into any specific tools.TBD 
System Dynamic SimulationsPowersim Studio Expert 2003Powersim Studio Enterprise 7;
Powersim Studio SDK 7.
Powersim can do Monte Carlo and other stochastic simulations as well.  SDK/Enterprise will let us build stand-alone apps and connect to live DBs.  Expert will only integrate with Excel.

Repast is a java package for Agent-Based Modeling;  NetLogo is a stand-alone ABM application (it produces java-based stand-alone apps).
MS Excel-Based ToolsCrystal Ball;

And others as needed.Crystal Ball is fo risk and other analysis (Monte Carlo, etc.).  VBA is the built-in "mini-apps" builder within Excel.
